Waist-to-Hip Ratio Calculator
Calculate waist-to-hip ratio and cardiovascular disease risk.
About This Calculator
WHR is a better predictor of cardiovascular risk than BMI because it measures central adiposity (visceral fat). The WHO considers WHR above 0.90 for men and 0.85 for women as "substantially increased" cardiovascular risk. Apple-shaped fat distribution (waist-heavy) is more dangerous than pear-shaped (hip-heavy).
